A Day Designed to Stretch Students Who Want More
These are not ordinary school lessons.
Students encounter ideas they are unlikely to meet in the classroom, grapple with difficult questions, test their thinking against students from other schools and discover connections between different areas of knowledge.
The aim is not simply to give students more information, but to make them more ambitious about what they can understand and how deeply they can think.
Intellectual Stretch
Ideas and questions beyond the normal curriculum.
Independent Thinking
Students learn to question, reason and develop their own conclusions.
Academic Ambition
An opportunity to discover where serious intellectual curiosity can lead.
Learning with Others
Students exchange ideas with similarly curious young people from other schools.
What will students experience?

Challenging Academic Sessions
Accessible but intellectually ambitious sessions introducing students to unfamiliar ideas.

Community of Inquiry
Students explore a significant question together, learning how to challenge ideas and build arguments.

Philosophy & Big Questions
Opportunities to think about questions that do not have easy answers.

Live Debate
Students hear competing arguments and decide where they stand.
